Bitterroot River Fishing Report

Bitterroot River
Bitterroot River I sure am looking forward to days like this. Winter seem’s to be sticking around this year. The Main Bitterroot is ice free and most of the East and West forks are now. Parking is improving but still limited due to piled up snow. The Midges and Capnia are active in the warmer parts of the day and the stone fly nymphs are pilled up. Nymphing is still your best bet, get it on the bottom. dead drifting a streamer will pick up a big one once in awhile. Our snow pack is looking good for this summer with a month of good chance for snow remaining. here is a good link with lot’s of water info  http://www.wrcc.dri.edu/water-in-the-west/
